Iron Maiden is a British heavy metal band that was founded on 25 december 1975 by Steve Harris, bassist and main songwriter. The band is one of the most influential and successful ever in heavy metal music genre and has sold approximately 120 million albums. The group has been the main attraction at several major festivals worldwide, including Ozzfest, Rock in Rio, Download Festival and the Monsters of Rock at Donington Park.
