The Rolling Stones
The Rolling Stones are an English rock band formed May 25, 1962 in London. The Rolling Stones are one of the world's most successful rock band and has inspired many other artists and groups. In the 1960s, many liked either the slightly more "innocent" and "pure" Beatles or, what used to be called, "dangerous", "raw" and "indecent" Rolling Stones. Rolling Stones reached the height of its popularity 1965-1981 and has since attracted large crowds during his touring around the world. The group elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989. Rolling Stones music has almost always been built on American blues music. The blues have followed the group since its inception, and can often be found somewhere in the background of their music. This can clearly be heard in most of the songs, but most evident on the album Exile on Main Street. Group frontman was in the early start multi-instrumentalist Brian Jones, but in the mid-1960s, the duo Keith Richards and Mick Jagger took over and has since then has been the more influential within the group.
