THE WATERBOYS featuring Steve Earle annonserar Fisherman's Blues

The Waterboys gör två specialkonserter i Oslo och Stockholm i september 2026 under namnet THE FISHERMAN'S BLUES REVUE, där musiken från bandets klassiska Fisherman's Blues-era hyllas. Steve Wickham återvänder på fiol och den amerikanske singer/songwritern Steve Earle ansluter som fullvärdig medlem av Revue-uppsättningen – både med egna låtar och med sång, gitarr och mandolin i Waterboys-materialet. Earle säger: "Jag har bara någonsin velat vara med i tre band: The Rolling Stones, NRBQ och The Waterboys." Konserterna följer släppet av ATLANTIC RAIN, ett 3-disc-set med tidigare okända inspelningar från Fisherman's Blues-perioden, ute 17 juli 2026. Mike Scott beskriver era-återbesöket som "spännande och inspirerande" och lyfter fram Steve Earles americana-energi som en viktig del av Revue-soundet.

Bandet består även av Brother Paul, Famous James, Aongus Ralston, Eamon Ferris och lap steel-mästaren Roar Øien. ATLANTIC RAIN innehåller tre skivor av nyfunna pärlor från de omfattande sessionerna – musik Scott beskriver som lika stark som originalalbumet.
