Ethel Cain, born Hayden Silas Anhedönia on March 24, 1998, is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, and model. Known for her lyrics that focus on nostalgic and Southern Gothic themes, her music is associated with ambient, indie rock, and contemporary folk genres. Ethel Cain began her music career in 2017 and adopted the stage name Ethel Cain in 2019. Her debut album, "Preacher's Daughter," was released in 2022 to critical acclaim.
