Doug Seegers

Doug Seegers, born around 1952 on Long Island, New York, is an American country music artist, guitarist, and songwriter. He began his music career in New York and Austin, Texas, before moving to upstate New York. Seegers gained fame after appearing in a Swedish TV series, Jills veranda, where his song "Going Down to the River" became a major hit in Sweden. The song topped the Swedish iTunes chart for 12 consecutive days, leading to a significant Swedish fanbase for Seegers.
